acumen Signallers Information Support Tools (aSIST) are a suite of tools designed to improve train performance.

If you are experiencing a potential issue with aSIST, please see aSIST Support for next steps.

Wrong Route Tool

The aSIST Wrong Route Tool shows the route of the next train in a visual format and alerts the signaller to any potentially incorrect routes via both an audible and visual alarm.

This tool is on trial at Wimbledon ASC, West Midlands ROC and Three Bridges ROC.

Note: A version of this tool has been adapted for London Bridge. The tool will visually display the planned platform (Platforms 1, 2, 6, 7) to assist with routing.

TRTS Bell

Introduced to differentiate TRTS indication between workstations. This tool provides an audible and visual alert to signallers.

This tool is currently on trial at Three Bridges ROC on both Core Central and Core South workstations.

The TRTS indication is displayed within the aSIST Wrong Route Tool.

Train Approach

Designed specifically for use at Bricklayers Arms (Southbound) to alert the signaller to an approaching train on the high speed junction due to limited fringe lookback.

For the trial, the train approach has also been configured for freight trains approaching Longhedge Jn, for the benefit of signallers at Wimbledon ASC.

The tool provides users with an audible and visual alert.

The Train Approach indication is displayed within the aSIST Wrong Route Tool.

Crossing Approach

This tool enables the signaller to start the level crossing sequence at the optimum time, reducing road traffic delay without risk of giving restrictive signals to the train services.

This tool is currently under development. More information to follow.

Sequencing Simplifier

Designed for use at Lewisham to regulate trains over Lewisham Junction. Lewisham Junction does not have a TIPLOC so the TRUST line-up is ineffective as a regulation tool.

This tool will be included within the Three Bridges ROC trial. More information to follow.
